No selfies, no instant judgments. Instead, our members answer a daily question from one of seven categories, allowing them to reveal their values and personality. Matches with likeminded people evolve naturally over time.

Your identity is protected. Members are anonymous until they decide to connect. Matches are based on preferences and compatibility. When you connect with a match, a private chat space allows you to develop conversation at your own speed.
Simple and Fair
It's free to join The Library and there is no advertising. You're not pressured to upgrade your account or pay to be seen.
Instead, we give you four credits to start — known as 'stamps' — that enable you to make your first connections for free. After that, if you like The Library and want to stay, there's a small charge for any futher connections you choose to make (roughly 95p).
A Healthy Dating Community
The Library has over 1,000 UK members and is growing fast. Around 60% are women looking for new friendships with men in a better kind of online space. As well as enabling lots of connections and conversation, we've seen relationships turn to romance, and even a wedding engagement!
