Since 2021, The Library has been a place for people to meet, share ideas and, perhaps, find someone that they might want to spend a bit of time with in person.

Launched on the Isle of Man, we are beginning to spread our wings and have recently (Feb 2024) reached out to potential members in London and the South East.

Our aim is to create a safe and private online space for people to connect and talk, taking their time while they decide whether or not they would like to meet in person.

There are no photographs, there are no instant judgements.

Instead, our members answer an OR, a daily question drawn from one of seven categories from the Dewey Decimal system, sit back and watch their matches develop over time.

Members pay for the connections they make using Stamps, with the first two connections being free and any further connections costing as little as £1. Once connected, members enter a private chat space with each other.

No paywall, no in-site advertising. Members only pay for their engagement in The Library.

This is SLOW DATING as an antidote to the fast and forgettable swipe culture that we have become used to in our digital age.
