Since 2021, The Library has been a welcoming space where people come together to connect, share ideas, and perhaps meet someone they’d like to spend time with in person.
Originally launched on the Isle of Man, in February 2024 we began reaching out to potential members in London and beyond. We’ve now grown to over 1000 members and are growing steadily across the South East of England.
Our mission is to provide a safe, private, and thoughtful online space for people to engage at their own pace, allowing them to decide if they’d like to meet in person when the time feels right.
There are no photographs, no instant judgments. Instead, our members answer a daily question from one of seven categories inspired by the Dewey Decimal system, allowing their matches to evolve naturally over time.
Connections are made using purchasable Stamps, with the first two connections free and any additional ones starting at just £1. Once connected, members can enter a private chat space to continue their conversation.
This means that there are no intrusive ads, and no paywall to remove them. Members only pay for the connections they make in The Library.
This is SLOW DATING, a refreshing alternative to the fast, fleeting swipe culture that dominates the digital world today.
We’re always improving The Library based on our members’ feedback, ensuring we create the most authentic, positive, and honest space for like-minded people to form meaningful connections.
