What Your Choices Say About You (And How You Connect Online)

Posted on April 20, 2025

Starting Monday 21st April, The Library invites you to begin a journey—not just of preferences, but of perspectives.

Each day, we ask a simple “OR” question. One choice or the other. But beneath every answer lies something deeper: a glimpse into your worldview, your values, your psychology. These aren’t just quick picks—they’re powerful tools for building real connection. Especially in the world of online dating and online friendship, where what you believe matters as much as what you say.

Here’s what this week’s Daily ORs are exploring—and what they might reveal about you:

Monday: Truth is objective OR Truth is subjective

Do you believe truth is universal, like a compass pointing north? Or is it shaped by experience, changing depending on who’s looking?

This one runs deep. In online friendships and relationships, your view on truth can shape how you communicate, how you handle conflict, and how you build trust. Objective thinkers may value clarity and structure. Subjective minds may lean into empathy and nuance. What’s your lens?

Tuesday: Dancing in a crowd OR Dancing alone at home

Are you most alive in the energy of others—or in the stillness of your own space?

This OR is all about expression. Dancing in a crowd speaks to a love of shared joy and social rhythm. Dancing solo? That’s about self-awareness and inner freedom. In the context of online dating, this could reflect how you seek connection—externally or internally.

Wednesday: Love modern dystopian novels OR Prefer classic literature

Do you find meaning in futuristic warnings, or grounding in timeless stories?

Choosing between dystopias and classics might seem like a reading preference, but it also signals how you relate to time and the world. In both online friendships and romantic connections, it tells others how you reflect, how you dream, and what stories move you.

Thursday: Immersing in local culture OR Enjoying tourist attractions

Do you seek the hidden gems—or celebrate the highlights?

Travelling styles reveal a lot about how we relate. Those who immerse in local culture often value authenticity and curiosity. Those who chase landmarks may love wonder and big-picture thinking. Either can be beautiful qualities in building online connections that go beyond surface level.

Friday: Sharing plates OR Individual portions

It’s not just about how you eat—it’s about how you relate.

Sharing plates suggest a generous, communal spirit. Individual portions may reflect independence and clear boundaries. In online dating, how we approach space and sharing says a lot. Are you a connector or a container? Or both?

Saturday: Virtual meetings preferred OR Office meetings are best

Where do you feel most seen—online or in person?

Your preferred mode of connection tells us how you engage. Virtual meetings might show digital confidence and adaptability—key traits in online friendship. Face-to-face lovers often seek depth, nuance, and shared energy. Both are valid, both are revealing.

Sunday: Rural countryside OR Urban cityscapes

Where does your spirit stretch out?

Whether you breathe easiest in quiet fields or buzzing streets, this OR shows what environments nourish you. That says a lot about how you recharge—and what kind of people you naturally align with, especially when meeting someone new online.

Why These ORs Matter—Especially Online

At The Library, we believe connection doesn’t start with bios or small talk. It starts with reflection.

In a world full of swipes and scrolling, we’re creating a space for meaningful online dating and genuine online friendship—where people ask better questions and give deeper answers.

These daily choices are more than content. They’re conversation starters. Compass points. Gentle dares to be more of who you are—and to connect with people doing the same.
