They are hopeful about how technology can bring people closer, improving friendships and relationships across distances. For them, tech innovations represent progress and the key to a better, more connected world.

On the other hand, technology pessimists approach new developments with caution. They worry about privacy risks and the potential loss of jobs to automation. For example, while optimists celebrate AI’s efficiency in data analysis, pessimists fear it may lead to mass unemployment. They also worry about the effect of social media on mental health and genuine human connection. They remind us to be mindful of the ethical implications, ensuring that technology benefits society without eroding our values or sense of community.
